NTPC DarlipaliWelcomes 120 Girl students under GEM- 2025

swa news : NTPC Darlipali inaugurated the GEM-2025 workshop on May 7, 2025. A total of 120 female students from government schools of nearby villages, such as Darlipali, Raidihee, Chinchinda, Nuadiha, Tilaimal, Loisung, Laikera, Chhotabanga, and Kankatura, were selected for the “Girl Empowerment Campaign – 2025.” The workshop was inaugurated by Shri Arindam Sinha, Regional Executive Director (Eastern Region-II), in the presence of Shri Ram Bhajan Malik, Executive Director (NTPC Darlipali), Shri Brajaraj Prasun, HOP(NTPC Dulanga), and other eminent personalities from NTPC Darlipali and Dulanga.

On this occasion, the Chief Guest, Shri Arindam Sinha, interacted with the students and motivated them to study with focus and dedication. He also emphasized the importance of self-confidence and other social skills in life. Shri Ram Bhajan Malik, Executive Director (NTPC Darlipali), briefly described the workshop and welcomed the fourth batch of students for the Girl Empowerment Campaign – 2025 at NTPC Darlipali.

The GEM mission focuses on empowering girls by identifying and nurturing their leadership qualities to prepare them for the future. The GEM workshop empowers girls through academic education, skill development, and life skills training. This workshop aims to stimulate curiosity among the girls and help them develop social skills. Additionally, it will encourage girls to connect with a subject while fostering their psychological, social, emotional, and creative development.

The four-week residential workshop will provide holistic education to girls in the age group of 10-12 years. During the inauguration ceremony of the Girl Empowerment Campaign – 2025, the GEM-2024 girls gave an English presentation. Additionally, the girls from Bal Bharati Public School also gave a presentation.

The program was attended by Shri Hare Ram Singh, GM (O&M), Mrs. Pratibha Singh, (HOHR), Mrs. Rupali Sinha, President, Vasudha Mahila Mandal (Eastern Region-II), Mrs. Poonam Malik, President – (Abhilasha Ladies Club), principals from nearby schools, senior officials from NTPC Darlipali, senior members of the Abhilasha Ladies Club, the parents of the GEMstudents, and the GEM-2025 girls.
