Dhamra,swa news : Adani Skill Development Centre (ASDC), the skilling arm of the Adani Group, has commenced a new training batch on Welding at its Kuamara Centre, marking another significant step toward empowering local youth through industry-relevant skill development. In its inaugural batch, 22 trainees have enrolled and will undergo comprehensive 75 days of training in multiple welding techniques, designed to align with current industry standards and demands.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Shri Devendra Thakar, CEO, Dhamra Port, along with senior Heads of Departments from the port. Addressing the trainees, Shri Thakar encouraged them to make full use of the opportunity and highlighted the emerging industrial growth and employment prospects in the Dhamra region. He emphasized those skilled trades like welding will play a crucial role in the area’s expanding industrial ecosystem.

Upon successful completion of the training, qualified candidates will have the opportunity to work inside Dhamra Port, where several reputed companies such as ITD Cementation,, and Thyssenkrupp are actively engaged in large-scale operations. In addition, trainees can also utilize their newly acquired skills within their own communities as an alternative income source. Skilled welders can typically earn between handsome amount per month, enabling financial stability and livelihood enhancement.
ASDC remains committed to expanding its skilling initiatives across Bhadrak district and continuously strives to engage local youth in sustainable, skill-based employment opportunities.
