NTPC Darlipali Brings Sustainable Solar Power to Rural Schools in Odisha

Darlipali,swa news : In a major step towards promoting sustainable and renewable energy, NTPC Darlipali signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with the ESTAH Society on 9th October 2025 for the installation of 5 KVA off-grid solar power systems in government schools across Bargarh district, Odisha.

Valued at ₹3.5 crore, the project aims to provide uninterrupted electricity to 50 government schools, strengthening educational infrastructure and creating a more conducive learning environment for students.

This green initiative underscores NTPC’s commitment to promoting clean energy solutions and reducing dependence on conventional power sources in rural areas. The collaboration represents a vital step towards achieving sustainable and equitable access to energy for educational institutions in remote regions.

The MoA was formally signed by Shri Faiz Taiyab, Chief General Manager, NTPC Darlipali, and Shri Subrata Sengupta from the ESTAH Society, in the presence of senior NTPC officials including GM (O&M), GM (Operations), GM (Maintenance), Headof HR, Mrs. Pratibha Singh and representatives from the ESTAH Society.
