Sundargarh,swa news : Reaffirming its commitment to community development and the Swachh Bharat Mission, NTPC Darlipali handed over advanced sanitation machinery to the Sundargarh Municipality in a formal ceremony held on June 19, 2025.
The handover ceremony was flagged off by Shri Hare Ram Singh, General Manager (O&M), NTPC Darlipali. The event witnessed the presence of Sundargarh Municipality Chairman, Vice Chairman, Executive Officer, Shri Y. Devashish, DGM (HR), NTPC, and other senior officers from NTPC.
As part of this initiative, sanitation machinery worth ₹1 crore was handed over, including:
- 02 Tractors with trolleys
- 09 Battery-operated vehicles (E-Rickshaws) for garbage collection
- 01 Auto-mounted fogging machine
- 01 Tractor with front and backhoe loader
Speaking at the occasion, Shri Hare Ram Singh emphasized NTPC Darlipali’s continued efforts under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program to enhance public health infrastructure and promote environmental sustainability.
This collaborative initiative is expected to significantly bolster Sundargarh’s sanitation infrastructure, improve daily waste collection efficiency, and aid in vector control through modern fogging operations.
The support from NTPC is part of its broader mission to foster cleaner, greener, and healthier communities, reflecting its deep-rooted dedication to societal well-being and sustainable development.
Municipal officials appreciated the gesture and lauded the initiative as a milestone in strengthening civic amenities and achieving the goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission in Sundargarh.
