Operational Familiarisation and Community Awareness Preparedness Programme Successfully Conducted at NTPC Darlipali

Darlipali, Sundargarh:prabaha news : NTPC Darlipali Super Thermal Power Station, in collaboration with the District Emergency Section, Collectorate, Sundargarh, and the Directorate of Factories & Boilers (DDF&B), Rourkela Division, successfully hosted the Operational Familiarisation and Community Awareness Preparedness Programme 2025–26 on July 24, 2025. The programme was conducted with the active involvement of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), 3rd Battalion, Mundali, Cuttack.

The initiative aimed to strengthen disaster preparedness, improve operational coordination among stakeholders, and raise public awareness about emergency response protocols. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from NTPC employees, first responders, and key stakeholders engaged in disaster risk reduction and management.

The comprehensive programme featured live demonstrations by the NDRF team, interactive sessions, and practical training modules focused on enhancing readiness during emergency scenarios. These sessions provided participants with vital knowledge and hands-on experience in disaster response operations.

Speaking on the occasion, senior officials highlighted the critical role of coordinated efforts among government agencies, industrial entities, and local communities in ensuring a swift and effective response during emergencies. They reiterated the need for continuous training, awareness, and proactive engagement to foster a culture of safety and resilience.

The event was honoured by the presence of several distinguished guests and officials, including:Shri Bibhu Prasad, DDF&B, (Rourkela Division), Shri Ashwin Kumar Panda, District Emergency Officer, (Sundargarh), Shri Suvendu Sekhar Rout, ADF&B, (Rourkela Division), Shri Swaraj Kumar Tripathy, ADF&B, (Rourkela Division), Shri Santosh Kumar Sahoo, Representative, NDRF, Mundali (3rd Battalion), Shri Hare Ram Singh, GM (O&M), NTPC Darlipali, Shri Dharmendra Singh, Assistant Commandant, CISF, NTPC Darlipali.

The event was ably hosted by Shri P.K.M. Tripathi, AGM (Safety), and concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Shri A. Mohanty, DGM (Safety), NTPC Darlipali.
