Bhubaneswar, prabaha news : TP Central Odisha Distribution Limited (TPCODL) a joint venture of Tata Power and the Government of Odisha organised an awareness programme today to familiarise its Business Associates (BAs) with the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana under the Utility-Led Aggregation (ULA) model. The initiative aims to deepen grassroots outreach and boost rooftop solar adoption across Central Odisha.
During the session TPCODL CEO Arvind Singh briefed the BAs on the scheme’s key features detailing the registration process installation steps and subsidy support offered by the Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) and by the Government of Odisha. He sought the support of BAs in proliferating this scheme both as consumers as well as system installers. Senior leaders from TPCODL addressed various queries raised by the participants and guided them for ensuring effective community engagement.
BAs were urged to actively promote the scheme across all Gram Panchayats within TPCODL’s operational areas. As per scheme guidelines, each Gram Panchayat is entitled to an incentive of Rs 1000 per Rooftop system commissioned in their respective GP areas.
The session also demonstrated how the ULA model streamlines rooftop solar adoption ensuring consumers gain easy access to clean affordable and reliable energy. BAs were briefed on both economic and environmental advantages to help them mobilise households effectively.
