Burla/Sambalpur, swa news :TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), under its flagship CSR initiative Club Enerji programme, successfully organized an inspiring Urja Mela at Guru Nanak Public School, Sambalpur, celebrating the innovation and creativity of young changemakers committed to energy conservation.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 200 students across 8 schools from Sambalpur. Through a series of engaging competitions, the students showcased their ideas and solutions for responsible energy use, sustainability, and environmental protectionturning the event into a vibrant celebration of innovation and awareness.
Club Enerji, a Flagship CSR initiative by Tata Power, actively promotes resource conservation clubs and climate-resilient awareness among students, emphasizing sustainable energy conservation. Regular school sessions through UrjaSaathi Volunteers delve into topics such as energy conservation, natural resources management, climate actions and sustainable development goals. Through the Club Enerji initiative, more than 1 lakh students across Western Odisha have been empowered as Energy Champions, actively contributing to the conservation movement in their communities.

The event was graced by theMr. S. N. Nanda, Regional Officer of the State Pollution Control Board, who attended as the Chief Guest. Ms. Kalpana Senapati, representative from Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA), Mr. Satyabrata Sahoo, Additional District Education Officer, Mr. Rabindra Nath Das Principal of the Guru Nanak Public School, Officials from TPWODL, volunteers, teachers, and students were also present, adding to the inspiring atmosphere of collaboration and learning.
A host of energy-conservation themed competitionsincluding model displays, poster making, quizzes, and innovative demonstrationshighlighted the creativity and commitment of the young participants. The Urja Mela reaffirmed TPWODL’s vision of empowering the next generation to lead the way toward a greener and more energy-efficient future.
