TPWODL Plants More Than 400 Saplings on Sambalpur University Campus for a Greener Tomorrow

Burla,swa news : As part of Tata Volunteering Week 24, TP Western Odisha Distribution Limited (TPWODL), under its CSR and Environment initiative, in collaboration with Sambalpur University and ‘Alok’ NGO, organized a Mass Tree Plantation Drive at the university campus. The initiative reflects TPWODL’s strong commitment to sustainability, biodiversity, and community well-being.

The drive witnessed the active participation of more than 200 enthusiastic volunteers, including TPWODL employees, students, and underprivileged children. Together, they planted more than 400 saplings across the university premises, marking a meaningful step towards building a greener future.

The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Parveen Verma, CEO, TPWODL, and senior leaders of the company; Prof. Bidhu Bhusan Mishra, Vice Chancellor of Sambalpur University; eminent professors; and Dr. Satya Narayan Nanda, Regional Officer of the State Pollution Control Board, along with other dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr.Verma, CEO of TPWODL, stated: “Sustainability is not just a responsibility but a way of life. Through initiatives like these, we aim to inspire communities, especially the younger generation, to actively participate in protecting the environment. The plantation drive at Sambalpur University is a significant step towards leaving behind a cleaner, greener, and healthier planet for future generations.”
