Vedanta Jharsuguda Celebrates India’s 79th Independence Day

Jharsuguda,swa news : Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, proudly celebrated the nation’s 79thIndependence Day at its Jharsuguda operations. The week preceding the occasion was marked by several initiatives aimed at building self-reliance and boostingthe spirit of unity among employees,business partners and community members.

As part of the lead-up to Independence Day, the company organisedseveral widely-attended programs themed on independence and national pride. These includedself-defence training sessions for women to boost their confidence,awareness workshops on better health practices, and a sapling plantation drive towards contributing to a greener future. A flag and bike rally was also undertaken within Jharsuguda town by Vedanta employees and community members, in the presence of senior members of the district administration including Shri. Kunal Motiram Chavan, Collector and District Magistrate, and Shri. Parmar Smit Parshottamdas, Superintendent of Police.

Vedanta Jharsuguda also marked Independence Day with vibrant celebrations, including aflag hoisting ceremony, a march past parade by the plant security team, patriotic dance performances and other cultural events.On the occasion, several members of the plant security and safety teams were also recognized for outstanding service and demonstrating excellence in discharging their responsibilities.
