Bhubaneswar: Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar’s 67th death anniversary has been observed by the State Bank Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Employees Welfare Council. In the meeting held under the chairmanship of the President of the Council, Mr. Saurabh Ranjan Das, Chief General Manager of Bhubaneswar Circle Shri Chander Shekhar Sharma had graced the event as the chief guest and inaugurated the meeting by lighting the lamp. Shri Sharma in his speech highlighted various welfare activities of the bank.
In this meeting General Manager (NW-1) Shri Ponnambalam Murugan, General Manager (NW-2) Shri Uttam Kumar Hazra Chowdhury, DGM & CDO Shri Manoj Kumar Singh, Bhubaneswar Administrative Office DGM (B&O) Shri Sanjay Kumar Jha, Deputy General Manager (D&TB) Shri Amarendra Kumar , Bhubaneswar Main Branch AGM Ms. Sasmita Sahu, Officers’ Association General Secretary Mr. Arun Kumar Bisoyi, Employees Association General Secretary Dr. Chitta Ranjan Panda, Retired Employees Association Secretary Mr. Upendra Kumar Das and President Mr. Ganesh Chandra Mishra were also present in the event. 200 bedsheets were provided to Kuntala Kumari Sabat girls’ hostel as part of SBI’s Corporate Social Responsibility. 110 school bags and an aqua guard were given by the Scheduled Castes and Tribes Welfare Council
