Vedanta Aluminium Organises Power Safety Circle ConclaveAt Jharsuguda, Promoting Industrial Safety

Jharsuguda, swa news : Vedanta Aluminium, India’s largest producer of aluminium, today organiseda Power Safety Circle Conclave at its mega aluminium plant in Jharsuguda. Featuring over 200 participants, the conclave washeld in partnership withSTEAG Energy Servicesand NTPC GE Power Service Private Limited (NGSL).

The Power Safety Circle Conclave is a collaborative safety excellence programme designed to foster proactive risk management, encourage employee-led innovation, and reinforce collective accountability in safety across multiple areas of core industrial operations. By engaging shopfloor teams in identifying and mitigating potential hazards, the initiative aims to embed safety as an instinctive part of Vedanta’s operational DNA. It reflects the company’s vision of achieving Zero Harm in industrial operations through a spirit of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement.

As part of this initiative, more than 26 participatingteams showcased their innovative safety improvement projects before an expert jury panel. The most impactful projects were recognised across four categories:Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze, for their effectiveness, creativity, and potential for wider implementation across units, withawards presented to the 34 best ideasshowcased at the event.

Patel, Head – CPP,NTPC GE Power Service Private Limited (NGSL), said, “Partnering with Vedanta Aluminium through the Power Safety Circle Conclave has allowed us to implement practical safety solutions while actively engaging teams on the shopfloor, making safety a shared responsibility.”

The Power Safety Circle Conclave drew strong participation, reflecting Vedanta Aluminium’s commitment to enhancing plant safety and community well-being. The initiative sets new standards in industrial safety while expanding industry outreach to deepen awareness and preparedness. The Vedanta Jharsuguda plant is home to several safety innovations, including a comprehensive Safety Galaxy Park containing demonstrations of safety tools and frameworks. It has been instrumental in providing increased awareness on safety practices to plant visitors and new employees.
