Dhamra, 14.04.2026: The 82nd National Fire ServiceWeek 2026 was formally inaugurated at Dhamra Port with a well-organized andimpactful ceremony highlighting the importance of fire safety, preparedness,and respect for the sacrifices of fire service personnel. The week-longobservance was officially inaugurated by the CEO of Adani Dhamra Port, who alsoaddressed the employees. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of properuse of safety tools, adherence to fire safety protocols, and continuoustraining, encouraging everyone to remain vigilant and proactive in preventingfire hazards.
Thefunction commenced with the ceremonial fire badge pinning, symbolizingcommitment and pride among the fire and safety team members. This was followedby a solemn tribute to martyrs, where attendees paid their respects to thebrave firefighters who lost their lives in the line of duty. A collective firesafety pledge was then administered, reinforcing the commitment of allemployees towards maintaining a safe and hazard-free workplace.
Aspart of the awareness and preparedness initiative, a detailed demonstration offire-fighting tools and equipment was conducted, showcasing modern techniquesand best practices in handling emergency situations. One of the key highlightsof the program was a live recreation of the historic Bombay Dock Explosion of1944, aimed at educating participants about the magnitude of fire disasters andthe critical importance of emergency response planning.
