Lanjigarh, Kalahandi District, Odisha, 6th February, 2024- Vedanta Limited, Lanjigarh, India’s premier producer of metallurgical grade alumina and a part of Vedanta Aluminium, recently celebrated the joy of giving with the local community in Lanjigarh. To nurture inclusive growth and strengthen Vedanta’s spirit of serving and connecting with the local communities around its operations, Mr. Pranab Bhattacharyya, CEO of Vedanta Lanjigarh, and his colleagues set out for a bounteous journey to 5 different villages, reaching out to more than 500 community members.
The day was celebrated on a heartfelt note with underprivileged families, by sharing new clothes and blankets, nourishing meals, sports equipment and gear, with chocolates & snacks for children, free health check-ups, while engaging in various fun activities such as dancing and singing with the community members, celebrating the local culture.
Vedanta Lanjigarh wholeheartedly embraces the essence of immersing itself in the lives of the community to foster meaningful connections and making a positive impact on the well-being of the community. In this spirit, the company ushered in the new year with a heartfelt tone that brought smiles and joy to the lives of children, the elderly, and families alike.
